Martin Luther King day

January 18th

“We must concentrate not merely on the negative expulsion of war but the positive affirmation of peace.”

It takes more imagination to create a vision of what we want than it does to fight against what we don’t want. It’s also more energizing and inspiring to work towards a goal than to beat down what we’re against. In 1963, Martin Luther King made a strong affirmation of peace with his “I Have a Dream” Speech, in which he envisioned a society where all of its members are treated with equality and respect. Celebrating MLK Day is not just a celebration of a past leader, it’s a reminder of how we still need to move forward using the transformative power of love. Treat yourself to a listen and a read:  I Have a Dream Speech

Think about what YOUR dream includes for yourself, your family, your community and the world.
